How will this election effect your 2nd amendment rights?

Every four years, we gun lovers have to stand up for our second amendment rights. We deserve the right to bare arms, it is our constitutional rights, and I don't know about you, but I'm not going to let new age politician take away my rights! I just wanted to take this brief moment to ask all gun enthusiasts to pick which ever politician you want, but just take your time and make sure you know where he or she stands on the issues that really matter to you and your country. I'm not going to tell you who to vote for, and I'm not even going to tell you who I'm voting for, but please do get registered to vote. Voting is your most important constitutional right, and we it is a huge mistake to waste the right. I'm just a gun enthusiast looking out for our rights. If you like Sugar Dent guns, maybe you should look at my website, it has a lot of nifty information on historic guns. Its www.gunsofstephendent.com

Do You Know Your Second Amendment Rights?

As you could probably guess, guns are pretty important to me, and there is nothing more important to a gun lover than the Second Amendment, giving us the right to bear arms. The Second Amendment says “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed,” which means that the government can’t take away civilians’ right protect themselves with guns, carry, purchase, or use guns.

Just because the government currently protects this right, doesn’t mean that it always will be protected. We have to make sure that we are actively taking steps to protect our right to protect ourselves-we can’t expect the government to do this for us. Sure, the Second Amendment has been in place since 1791, but that doesn’t mean anything!

This is Sugar Dent asking you to get to know your Second Amendment rights a little better. Everyone is safer in a country where men hoiste their guns and fight for their rights. For more information on historic guns in America, visit my website at www.sdentguns.com.

what else is new?

Hello fans of the second amendment!
Now I don't want to sound unsympathetic to the Kennedy family, even though most of what they have represented since even before my days in the service has been against my own personal policies and beliefs.

But I do have to sya, as much as ol' Teddy could reach across partisan lines as they keep saying on CNN (not on Fox!) he was never an advocate for second amendment rights and in that way I see that an obstacle has been removed from our movement to maintain our rights to bear arms.

As a retired military man, Stephen Dent has the right to bear whatever he wants, and if that sounds crazy to the average civilian, post yourself out in the wilds of unknown jungle territory when all you can think about is that you just got a letter from your wife that she's going to go into labor and give birth before you get back home. Let me just tell you, nothing stings like that, and nothing will make you want to protect your family more at any cost.

It may sound bad, but no people on earth are as important as the ones that are my blodd. I know you second amendment supporters out there feel the same way so let's be heard!

Remember, you're only as safe as your second amendment rights are!

Welcome to the Health Care Jungle... where's my gun at?

Back from the dead, the debate about health care in America rages on again. The way these liberals are trying to feed us all this bs really makes me sick. as an older man, a veteran who fought for the right's of Americans everywhere, I, Stephen Dent, will not sit down and shut up while this goes on all over the country.

My youngest son and I disagree on almost everything when it comes to politics and policies in this great country. But what makes it a great country is that we CAN disagree and no one has to die because of it. But this new health care plan could mean a death sentence for the elderly of this country and I cannot stand the blindness any more.

So why did I say where's my gun at? Because guess what, if you think they won't be banging down the doors to take a way your second ammendment rights next, your crazier than I am!

Remember, you're only as safe as your second ammendment rights are!!!!!!!!!

Signing off for now,

VPI Gun Shows Come to Huntsville

Well,
Exciting news everybody. The Rocket City Gun and Knife Show will be in Huntsville (that'd be my neck of the woods) from August 22 to the 23 of this year. Make sure you all make plans to make it out. It should be a great show this year.
The Cahaba Shriners are hosting the event, located on Winchester Road and Pulaski Pike.
For those interested in renting a booth to show off their wares (guns and knives and other weaponry from the Civil War forward) visit the VPI Website. Until then, don't forget to visit the Stephen Dent Guns (AKA Sugar) website when you get the chance. I'd appreciate your input.
I'll see you all at Cahaba's.

Stephen tells his gun good night...

My youngest son (who voted for Obama) and I were watching TV a few weeks ago and he forced me to sit through a show on a network called Comedy Central called the Colbert Report. It was entertaining but.... the Stephen Colbert show ended with Stephen's gun telling him to say good night to the studio audience. Now maybe I'm an old fashioned guy or maybe it's that I'm a retired serviceman, but I have some mixed feelings about flashing a gun around, even if it ain't real. My son said I was getting all fired up for no reason. I have to disagree (since he's never served what can he know about how offensive this could be taken?)

There's a certain level of respect that a gun demands. So while I do understand the humorous tone and that Stephen probably didn't mean to russle any feathers, its my personal opinion that a gun should be respected, especially when you consider that there very well might have been some youngsters watching. Guns ain't no laughing matter, they are a point of pride in the history of this Godfearing country.

Let me know how ya'll feel on this. Am I just a crazy old man or do I have a solid point here?

Dent Family Crest

Good Morning Gun Lovers!
I was finally able to find the Dent family crest. Now I know what you're gonna say, crests go back to a time before guns... well, that may be true, but they are an important part of family's histories and also an important part of historic wartime pasts of many countries and territories.

The Dent family crest displays a black knight in chain mail along with a black horse's head on a golden field.

Thought you guys might enjoy it, so here's the link.
